The activity took place at Vinmec Smart City International General Hospital (Tay Mo Ward) to pay tribute to those who have contributed to the country on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1945 - July 27, 2025), thereby spreading the humanistic value of "When drinking water, remember its source", contributing to improving social welfare in the locality.

"Health check-up day of love for the homeland and people"
From early morning on July 20, at Vinmec Smart City International General Hospital, there were many staff members of Tay Mo ward, doctors, nurses and volunteers welcoming meritorious people to come for health check-ups.
War invalid Nguyen Huu Thai (75 years old, Hanh residential group, Tay Mo ward) shared: "Although the ward government has a lot of work this time, they still take good care of people with meritorious services, so I am very excited and hope this activity will be maintained every year."
In joy and emotion, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thai shared with us the verses he had just composed: "We return to Tay Mo today; July 27, like a hometown festival; War invalids excitedly go home; Health check-up day, hometown love - human love".

Also moved, war invalid Tran Thi Vui (Cho residential group, Tay Mo ward) shared: "I thank the authorities at all levels for their attention and health check-up so that I can have more conditions to live a healthy and happy life with my children and grandchildren."
On the morning of July 20, more than 160 people with meritorious services, including wounded soldiers and martyrs' relatives in Tay Mo ward, were examined by doctors from the Hanoi Cardiovascular Association, Vinmec Smart City International General Hospital, the Group of former resident doctors of Bach Mai Hospital, Tay Mo Medical Club, representatives of Tay Mo ward authorities and related agencies and units, and given free medicine.
Directly examining the health of the meritorious, Professor, Doctor Nguyen Quang Tuan - a leading expert in cardiovascular disease shared: "This is not only a medical activity, but also an act full of love, a voice of gratitude, sharing and solidarity of today's generation towards the previous generation".

Doctor Hoang Duc Vinh, Director of Vinmec Smart City International General Hospital, who directly directed the health check-up for the meritorious people of Tay Mo ward, confided: "Today's work is an activity to show gratitude to those who have contributed to the country, and each doctor and medical staff is very proud to contribute a part of their efforts to it."

Sharing about the meaningful activities of the ward on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Tay Mo Ward, Hoang Thi Thuy Hang, emphasized that this is a large-scale, high-quality social welfare activity with the criteria of "serving the people" of the Party Committee and the Tay Mo Ward government since the two-level government model officially came into operation from July 1, 2025.

Present at this meaningful event, Deputy Director in charge of Hanoi Department of Health Nguyen Dinh Hung affirmed: "Health check-up for people with meritorious services is a very meaningful activity, demonstrating the good morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of our nation; at the same time affirming the attention and care of local authorities, contributing to improving community health".
