Thai media has published many articles about the official visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue from December 7-10, assessing that the relationship between the two countries is developing increasingly well.
With the title " Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly visits Thailand", the website of Thai Public Broadcasting (Thai PBS) emphasized that the visit takes place at a time when the two countries are enjoying an excellent relationship while implementing the Enhanced Strategic Partnership for the 2022-2027 period.
The article stressed that this is the first visit by a foreign head of legislature to Thailand during the new National Assembly term.
In addition to meeting with Thailand's top leaders, on December 8, the Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly will deliver a speech at Chulalongkorn University on the development of Vietnam-Thailand relations to build trust and the Strategic Partnership for Peace and Sustainable Development.
The article mentioned one of the important highlights of the trip, which was that National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue would go to Udon Thani province, northeastern Thailand, to inaugurate the world's first "Vietnam Town" of the overseas Vietnamese community.
Meanwhile, the Bangkok Post newspaper on December 5 published an article stating that the Thailand-Vietnam relationship has come a long way since it was first established in the 12th century and the time is ripe for the two countries to move towards a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
According to the article titled “The Time Is Ripe to Boost Thailand-Vietnam Relations,” the relationship between the two countries has grown unprecedentedly over the past 10 years. In fact, the article said, the relationship between Thailand and Vietnam is one of the strongest among ASEAN members and bilateral relations between the two countries are at an all-time high.
The article also assessed that the economic potential of Thailand and Vietnam is greater than ever. Currently, Thailand is Vietnam's largest trading partner in ASEAN and the two countries have committed to increasing trade value to 25 billion USD by 2025.
The National Radio of Thailand, the electronic newspapers of the Thai Parliament, the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association... also reported and commented on the relationship between the two countries ahead of the visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
The articles emphasized that with an unprecedentedly close relationship, Thailand and Vietnam will cooperate in the spirit of friendship, solidarity and unity with the aim of maintaining peace, stability and prosperous development in the two countries as well as the entire region.
