Kremlin: US soldiers are present on the battlefield in Ukraine
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia has repeatedly stated that the US military has entered the conflict in Ukraine without any permission.
“ We have repeatedly said that American specialists and servicemen are participating in the conflict in Ukraine without permission. This has been going on for a long time ,” Peskov said.
According to him, the Kremlin has not received any official statement allowing Ukraine to use long-range Western weapons to attack deep into Russian territory.
“ We see a lot of noise around this issue, a lot of rumors, a lot of forecasts from various analysts, but we have not received any official statements on this issue yet ,” Peskov said in response to a question about how the Kremlin assesses the fact that Western countries have not yet allowed Ukraine to use the weapons they have supplied to strike deep into Russian territory.
Russia increases the size of its armed forces
President Putin decided to increase the number of Russian armed forces to 2,389,130 people.
Accordingly, Mr. Putin signed a new decree on increasing the size of the Russian armed forces. This document was posted on the official website of the state's legal documents.
“ I hereby decide: To establish the number of armed forces of the Russian Federation at 2,389,130 units, including 1,500,000 servicemen ,” the decree of President Putin stated. This document comes into force from December 1, 2024.

The Russian leader also instructed the Government to allocate the amount of money from the budget to the Ministry of Defense necessary to implement the decree.
The last time the number of personnel of the armed forces was increased was in December 2023. Accordingly, the number of personnel was raised to 2,209,130 people, including 1,320,000 soldiers.
NATO gives Ukraine the green light
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that member countries should make their own decision to remove weapons from Ukraine.
“ I welcome those moves, the final decision will be made by individual member states. Allies have different policies on this issue ,” Mr. Stoltenberg said.
However, he admitted that “there is no risk-free option in terms of war”. “I still believe that the biggest risk for us, for the UK and NATO, is that Russia wins the conflict in Ukraine,” the NATO Secretary General stressed.
President Zelensky has repeatedly urged the West to remove barriers and allow Ukraine to use aid weapons to attack Russian military targets far from the front line. US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer discussed the issue last weekend, but have not yet made a decision.
Russia regains control of two more residential areas in Kursk
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, its forces have just regained control of two villages in Kursk and repelled several Ukrainian attacks in the area.
“ The Russian army continues its operation to defeat the enemy forces that penetrated Kursk and neutralize Ukrainian units. The Northern Army continues its advance and has taken control of the settlements of Uspenovka and Borki ,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
In addition, Russian forces also repelled five Ukrainian attacks in the past 24 hours and attacked many enemy positions in Kursk, while stopping three attempts to attack across the border.
“ The Russian military is continuing reconnaissance and search operations to identify and destroy enemy intelligence groups trying to penetrate deep into Russian territory ,” the statement said.
