Therefore, the legal awareness of ethnic minorities has been increasingly improved, they properly comply with the policies and laws of the Party and State and contribute to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the locality.
"Going to every alley, knocking on every door" to propagate the law
In recent days, the team of officers and soldiers of Bu Gia Map Commune Police have spent a lot of time "going to every alley, knocking on every door" to distribute leaflets and propagandize to ethnic minorities about the situation of property theft in the area and some preventive solutions to ensure safety. In addition, the police force has also promoted propaganda about the harmful effects of drugs and preventive measures to help people know how to apply them effectively. Through these practical propaganda sessions, ethnic minorities have raised their awareness and complied with the law.
Mr. Dieu Thuan (Bu Nga village, Bu Gia Map commune) said: In the past, he regularly attended legal dissemination sessions organized by agencies, units, and authorities at all levels. From there, he brought the knowledge he acquired to disseminate to his family, relatives, and villages to ensure the rights and obligations of citizens as well as to properly comply with the policies and laws of the Party and State.
Secretary of the Bu Nga village Party Cell, Dieu K'Ranh, said: Bu Nga village currently has 172 households with 716 people; of which, ethnic minorities account for 95% and are mainly M'nong people. Ethnic minorities mainly work in agriculture (growing cashew, coffee, pepper, rubber...) and raising livestock (cows, pigs, chickens...). The awareness level of the people in the past still had certain limitations, so violations of the law occurred. In this situation, the government and departments, branches and organizations at all levels have paid attention to supporting all aspects of the material and spiritual life of ethnic minorities. In particular, propaganda and legal dissemination work has been carried out regularly and promptly. The legal awareness of the people has been increasingly raised, contributing to limiting the occurrence of social evils in the area.
In addition to the work of disseminating the law, in recent times, the government and departments, branches and organizations of Bu Gia Map commune have also paid attention to and learned about the lives of ethnic minorities to promptly support and care for them, especially those who are still facing difficulties in life. Many cases have been facilitated to access loans from social policy banks to invest in increasing production; support for seedlings, livestock and participate in training courses to improve knowledge and experience in effective farming and livestock raising... Thanks to that, many families have invested in business, escaped poverty and stabilized their lives, contributing to the development of the locality.
Senior Lieutenant Dieu Thi Hiep (police officer of Bu Gia Map commune) shared: In the coming time, the propaganda and legal dissemination work will continue to be focused on and promoted by the political system of Bu Gia Map commune with many practical forms and contents close to the people. In particular, focusing on launching a peak period of propaganda on activating electronic identification accounts, cleaning up population data, especially marital status must be updated accurately and completely on the National Population Database and displayed on the VNeID application. This aims to simplify administrative procedures and reduce paperwork for people when handling related procedures.
Choose propaganda content that is close to the people
According to Senior Lieutenant Dieu Thi Hiep (police officer of Bu Gia Map commune), the characteristics of Bu Gia Map commune are that it is a remote and disadvantaged commune. Moreover, the number of ethnic minorities accounts for a large proportion and the level of legal awareness of the people still has certain limitations. The good implementation of propaganda and legal dissemination work will contribute to maintaining political security and social order and safety in the commune. Therefore, the entire political system of Bu Gia Map commune identifies propaganda and legal dissemination work as one of the key tasks and has actively implemented it in the past time.
In addition to patrolling, preventing and handling violations, Bu Gia Map Commune Police have actively coordinated with departments, branches, unions and socio-political organizations in the area to organize propaganda and legal dissemination for people in general and ethnic minorities in particular. The propaganda content is conveyed simply, concisely, easy to understand and remember so that people can access it easily. The forms of propaganda are deployed quite diversely such as: through mass media, integrated in meetings with people, village meetings, conferences and legal competitions... In addition, the Commune Police also have good and effective ways such as: propagating and legal dissemination for people at night (because people have to work in the fields during the day, so they cannot attend propaganda sessions); mobilizing prestigious people among ethnic minorities or people with knowledge, experience and fluent in the language of ethnic minorities to participate.
“I myself am a member of the M'nong ethnic group, so I am fluent in the language as well as well-versed in the customs and practices of ethnic minorities. That has helped me easily approach and grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people, and then choose appropriate and effective methods of propaganda and dissemination of the law,” Senior Lieutenant Dieu Thi Hiep shared.
Thanks to the implementation of many synchronous solutions with the strong participation of the entire political system of Bu Gia Map commune, the propaganda and legal dissemination work has brought many good results, and people's legal awareness has had many positive changes. For example, people who used to participate in road traffic often violated common violations (not wearing helmets, driving over the speed limit...) but now basically comply well. Notably, in recent years, there have been no serious traffic accidents in the commune.
“People also contribute to maintaining security and order in the area by reporting crimes. Typically, petty theft of rubber latex often occurred in the commune in the past. When receiving information from local people, the police force promptly stepped in to increase patrols and guard posts day and night. Thanks to that, petty theft is no longer a problem,” said Senior Lieutenant Hiep.
