Reporting at the meeting, the representative of the Department of Finance informed that the project to preserve the World Cultural Heritage of Hoi An Ancient Town is being finalized and is expected to be submitted to the Prime Minister for approval in the near future. The project to restore the My Son Temple Complex is also being accelerated for appraisal.
Regarding Chu Lai Airport, the planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, has completed its final report, while the projects for the duty-free zone and the Northwest urban area of Chu Lai Airport are being finalized. The Ministry of Construction has approved the Quang Nam Seaport Development Plan to 2050.
Regarding infrastructure investment, the Prime Minister has allocated capital to upgrade National Highways 14D and 14B from the 2024 budget revenue increase. The province is coordinating with the Ministry of Finance to soon implement the project in 2025. Poverty reduction and temporary housing elimination have also achieved many positive results.
The members of the Working Group discussed the tasks and progress related to the Danang University Urban Area; the special mechanism to attract strategic investors in the socialized development of Chu Lai airport and Quang Nam seaport; My Son Temple Complex; the pilot project on the mechanism to encourage cooperation and linkage in production according to clusters of supporting industries and mechanical industries in Chu Lai Open Economic Zone; the project to develop and form a Center for Medicinal Materials Industry in Quang Nam province with Ngoc Linh ginseng as the main crop; exploitation and processing of Silica... according to the Prime Minister's Conclusion.
Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the Working Group and directed the Department of Construction to closely follow ministries and branches to speed up the planning of Chu Lai Airport and the Northwest urban area.
In the coming time, the Provincial Party Secretary proposed to work with Korea on the airport ecosystem, calculating long-term development after the apparatus reorganization. Members were asked to review and remove difficulties, especially for strategic projects; promote a high sense of responsibility to achieve the set progress.
