Quang Nam deploys the application of construction information modeling in construction activities.

According to the plan, in phase 1 (from 2024 - 2025), Quang Nam will organize seminars; basic training and advanced training on basic knowledge of BIM for staff and civil servants of departments, branches, and localities. At the same time, it will review equipment serving BIM implementation in the area; build and invest in technology and software for managing construction information databases; coordinate with the Ministry of Construction to transfer software serving the connection of the common data environment.

In Phase 2 (from 2025 - 2030), Quang Nam will apply mandatory BIM to grade II or higher works of new construction investment projects using public investment capital, foreign capital for public investment and investment under the public-private partnership method from the project preparation stage.

For works under new construction investment projects using other capital sources, investors provide BIM files when appraising feasibility study reports, construction designs implemented after basic designs, applying for construction permits, and project acceptance.

The Provincial People's Committee encourages contractors with capacity and experience to apply BIM and implement BIM in project implementation during the contractor selection process.
