The conference deployed directives and guidelines from all levels related to the exam; regulations on admission to grade 10 high school, and exam organization. At the same time, it resolved issues related to the admission system.
According to Mr. Thai Viet Tuong - Director of the Department of Education and Training, this is the first time organizing an entrance exam for grade 10 instead of selecting students as in previous years, the industry does not have much experience so it will certainly face many difficulties. Meanwhile, society is looking forward to this exam to evaluate the quality of teaching in the province.
“Therefore, this is a very important conference in organizing the exam, so in addition to the participation of high school leaders, the Department of Education and Training also has 217 junior high schools in the province, including principals and a person in charge of 10th grade enrollment. Through this conference, the whole industry will carry out thorough preparations to organize the exam safely, seriously and with quality,” said Mr. Tuong.
This year, the admission to grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools has changed when combining entrance exams with admission based on the results of training and studying in 4 years of secondary school of students. For specialized high schools, Quang Nam Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities continues to take entrance exams as in previous years.
Quang Nam will only organize a single exam to enroll students in grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools, specialized high schools and provincial high schools for ethnic minorities, called "Public High School Grade 10 Entrance Exam for the 2025-2026 school year".
Regarding the exam subjects, for public high schools and provincial high schools for ethnic minorities, the entrance exam will be in 3 subjects: Math, Literature, English. Meanwhile, Nguyen Binh Khiem and Le Thanh Tong specialized high schools will have entrance exam in 3 subjects: Math, Literature, English and specialized subject. The exam schedule is on June 3, 4 and 5.
