According to the school, the error occurred in the step of converting scores from English certificates to English scores in the admission test combination. Due to an internal data processing error, some candidates were incorrectly scored, leading to changes in admission results.

UFM asserts that this error is not related to the Ministry of Education and Training 's general admissions support system but stems from the school's operational procedures.
After reviewing all records, the school reported a detailed list of affected candidates to the Department of Higher Education ( Ministry of Education and Training ) and implemented the following steps: Notifying and supplementing the list of candidates who had previously failed but now passed so that they could enroll according to their new admission preferences; contacting candidates who had previously failed to adjust their results according to their next preferred choice, and simultaneously sending official letters to relevant schools to facilitate smooth enrollment; and uploading the updated list to the Ministry of Education and Training's general admissions system.
A representative from UFM emphasized that the university is committed to ensuring maximum benefits for candidates, while also maintaining transparency in the processing of applications. The university also stated that it will review and improve its admissions procedures to avoid similar errors in subsequent years.
This year's university entrance exam has seen a series of errors. Many candidates who initially passed have now failed, or vice versa, at universities such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport, Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking, Foreign Trade University, and University of Finance - Marketing.
On the afternoon of August 26th, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that it receives approximately 20-30 inquiries daily. The errors mainly lie in the input data (methods, conditions, admission criteria, candidate's priority documents, foreign language certificates, etc.). Most of these errors have been resolved correctly and promptly, allowing students to enroll within the deadline.
