Vietnam C4IR is part of the global network of the World Economic Forum (WEF). Thereby, it strengthens cooperation with international C4IR Centers to support policies in breakthrough areas of Ho Chi Minh City in line with the country's orientation and international trends.
Vietnam C4IR is tasked with piloting national industrial policies and promoting economic transformation in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Vietnam C4IR is closely linked to fields such as semiconductor microchip technology, biotechnology, new materials, drones, artificial intelligence, and IoT, creating new impetus for sustainable development in Ho Chi Minh City, the Southeast region, and the entire country in the coming years.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated Ho Chi Minh City's efforts in rapidly implementing the Vietnam C4IR based on Vietnam's first public-private partnership initiative.
“The establishment of Vietnam C4IR is in response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, aligning with the context of modernization and industrialization; the practical needs of national development in the new era, deep integration in the field of science and technology; demonstrating the pioneering role of Ho Chi Minh City; reflecting national pride, dynamism, and creativity; and affirming the close relationship with the WEF. Therefore, Vietnam C4IR needs to be self-reliant, innovative, and operate efficiently; have preferential development policies and favorable operating mechanisms to meet the new situation; and at the same time, the founders and businesses need to join hands in supporting infrastructure, finance, and management to make the center operate more effectively in the future,” Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized.
The Prime Minister also conveyed 20 key words to Vietnam C4IR: "Pioneering, cooperation, connectivity, digitalization, greening, practicality, effectiveness, dissemination, for the nation, for the people."
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai pledged to enhance the effectiveness of Vietnam C4IR's operations; he committed to creatively and promptly establishing an operational framework and regulations so that Vietnam C4IR could hold its first event this year, as expected by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
