A new architectural icon in the capital of Cambodia
Having just officially come into operation, Techo International Airport has quickly become an impressive highlight for anyone arriving in Phnom Penh. With a total investment of up to 2 billion USD, this is not only the largest aviation infrastructure project in Cambodia but also an architectural work imbued with Khmer cultural identity, promising to bring an inspiring start to the journey.
Located about 30 km south of the capital Phnom Penh, the airport was designed by international architects, inspired by the headdresses of traditional Apsara dancers. The unique curved dome design not only creates a soft, elegant appearance but also collects rainwater for reuse, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability.

Experience comfort and spaciousness
Stepping inside the 87,000 square meter terminal, visitors will immediately feel the airy space filled with natural light. Large glass panels, light-colored wooden floors combined with many tropical green spaces create a relaxing, pleasant atmosphere.
The smart design focuses on the passenger experience. From the central terminal, you only need to turn left or right to reach the gates, with a maximum walking distance of only about 500 meters. This helps to minimize confusion and fatigue, especially after long flights. The airport is also equipped with modern technologies such as facial recognition systems to optimize the check-in process.

Gateway connecting Cambodia to the world
Techo Airport plays a strategic role in Cambodia’s tourism development plan for 2025-2035. It is an important gateway, helping to enhance connectivity between Cambodia and international destinations.
Currently, Techo Airport offers direct flights to major cities in the region such as Bangkok, Beijing, Hanoi , Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. In the near future, major airlines such as Turkish Airlines and Etihad are expected to open more routes from Istanbul and Abu Dhabi, opening up more convenient connections to Europe and the Middle East.

Travel information and useful notes
Upon landing at Techo International Airport, you have several options for getting into central Phnom Penh.
- Transportation: Currently, the most popular way to travel is by car or tuk-tuk via the newly built highway.
- Travel time: Distance is about 30 km, travel time depends on traffic conditions.
- Future: Phase 2 of the project will add a train line directly connecting the airport to the city center, promising to provide a faster and more convenient travel option.
The birth of Techo Airport, together with Siem Reap - Angkor International Airport, which will be operational from 2023, marks a big step forward for Cambodia's tourism industry. This is not only a transit point, but also an impressive starting point, contributing to enhancing the image and experience of tourists when coming to the land of pagodas.
