Many large-scale transportation infrastructure projects with total investment capital of tens of trillions of VND are being promoted and implemented by localities. Notable projects include a nearly 3 trillion VND road in Ninh Binh, two bridges worth over 1 billion USD connecting Dong Nai with Ho Chi Minh City, and the plan to expand National Highway 1 through Ha Tinh.
Ninh Binh invests nearly 3,000 billion VND in building a road connecting Yen Yen and Thanh Liem.
The Project Management Board for Urban Development and Land Fund Area II has announced the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report for the construction project of the Thanh Liem - Cao Bo road (T4 axis). The road has a total length of approximately 16 km, passing through the communes of Thanh Liem, Tan Minh, Phong Doanh, and Yen Yen.

The total estimated investment for the entire route is 2,880 billion VND. The project is planned to be implemented from Q1/2026 to Q4/2028, promising to significantly improve transportation connectivity in the area.
Dong Nai province is studying two bridges costing over $1 billion connecting to Ho Chi Minh City.
The People's Committee of Dong Nai province has approved assigning Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC (CC1) as the investor proposing the Cat Lai bridge and access road project under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. At the same time, the province also supports CC1's research and implementation of the Long Hung bridge (Dong Nai 2 bridge) and access road project.

The total investment for these two bridges is estimated at over 29,800 billion VND. CC1 will coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to study the route alignment, update the planning, and determine compensation and resettlement costs.
Ho Chi Minh City proposes a railway plan connecting Tan Son Nhat Airport and Long Thanh Airport.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has sent a document to the Government regarding a plan to connect the railway between Tan Son Nhat and Long Thanh airports. According to the proposal, passengers from Tan Son Nhat airport will travel to Ba Queo station of Metro Line 2 (Tham Luong - Ben Thanh - Thu Thiem).
At Ba Queo station, passengers will transfer to the Thu Thiem - Long Thanh railway line to reach Long Thanh airport. City leaders believe this option has the advantage of connecting with the city center via Ben Thanh station, a crucial transportation hub linking metro lines 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Over 8 trillion VND to be spent on expanding National Highway 1 through Ha Tinh.
The Ministry of Construction has sent a letter to the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province and the Vietnam Road Administration regarding the investment project to upgrade and expand several sections of National Highway 1 in the province. According to the Road Administration's proposal, the project will upgrade and expand three sections with a total length of approximately 70 km.

The road sections will be upgraded to meet Class III road standards, with 4 lanes and a road surface width of 20.5 - 30 m. The total estimated investment for this project is over 8,000 billion VND.
Over 2 trillion VND will be spent on a road connecting three mountainous provinces to the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway.
The Project Management Board for Investment and Construction No. 1 has announced the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the project connecting the three provinces of Son La, Lai Chau, and Lao Cai with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway. The project has a total length of 69 km, passing through the areas of Mu Cang Chai, Nam Co, and Phong Du Thuong.

The preliminary total investment for the project is 2,030 billion VND. The expected implementation period is 6 years from the date the capital plan is allocated.
Hanoi spends over 800 billion VND to extend the West Thang Long axis.
The Dan Phuong Commune Infrastructure Investment Project Management Board has announced the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the construction project of Tay Thang Long road, the section passing through the former Dan Phuong district. Specifically, this is the section from Dan Hoai canal to Provincial Road 417.

The planned road will be approximately 3.15 km long, passing through Dan Phuong and Lien Minh communes. The total investment for the project is over 800 billion VND, with an expected implementation period from 2026 to 2028.
Phu Quoc is about to have a metro line costing nearly 9 trillion VND.
The metro project in Phu Quoc has been approved for investment under the BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) contract model. The project is proposed by Phu Quoc Sun Company Limited as the investor.
The total investment for the project is estimated at nearly 9,000 billion VND. In phase 1, the tram line will be 18 km long, connecting Phu Quoc International Airport with the APEC Convention Center. The line structure includes 1.3 km of elevated track, 14.3 km of ground-level track, and 2 km of underground track through the city center.
