Ready to organize Cham Ethnic Cultural Festival

On the afternoon of October 27, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held a meeting on preparations for the 6th Cham Ethnic Cultural Festival in 2025.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has agreed to adjust the time for organizing the Festival from December 5th to December 7th, 2025. On the part of Khanh Hoa province, preparations are on schedule and are ready to host the Festival.

The Cham Ethnic Culture Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, with the theme " Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Cham ethnic group in the new era," took place in the April 16th Square area (Phan Rang and Dong Hai wards). The festival featured the participation of nearly 600 Cham artisans, performers, and amateur athletes from six provinces and cities: Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, An Giang , and Ho Chi Minh City.

The festival features activities introducing and promoting the traditional culture of the Cham ethnic group. Through this, it enhances the promotion of the image of Vietnam as a country rich in cultural identity, with unity and harmony among ethnic groups, demonstrating the Party and State's concern for the preservation and promotion of the cultural values ​​of the Cham people in the process of reform, integration, and development.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, Nguyen Long Bien, emphasized that the festival is an important event to honor and introduce the traditional cultural values ​​of the Cham people to friends both domestically and internationally.

The Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is tasked with finalizing the organizational plan to submit to the Provincial People's Committee; and coordinating with relevant agencies and localities to urgently, actively, and proactively implement the necessary tasks.

The 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival was scheduled to take place from October 17th to 19th, 2025 in Khanh Hoa province. However, due to local authorities focusing on organizing the Party Congress and the complex weather situation with storms and heavy rain, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has agreed to postpone the event.
