After 10 months, Hanoi tourism industry is estimated to have achieved revenue of more than 108 trillion VND.

Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Nguyen Tran Quang has just said that in the first 10 months of 2025, the total number of tourists to Hanoi is estimated at 28.22 million, total revenue from tourists is estimated at 108.22 trillion VND, an increase of 19.8% over the same period in 2024.

The representative of the Hanoi Department of Tourism added that in October 2025, the total number of tourists to Hanoi reached 2.27 million, an increase of 8.9% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international tourists are estimated at 695 thousand, an increase of 17.8% over the same period last year (including 490 thousand international tourists with accommodation), domestic tourists are estimated at 1.58 million, an increase of 5.3% over the same period last year. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 9.93 trillion VND, an increase of 11.9% over the same period in 2024.

“It is expected that in the first 10 months of 2025, the total number of tourists to Hanoi will reach 28.22 million, an increase of 21.9% over the same period in 2024. Of which: international tourists are estimated at 6.17 million, an increase of 23.6% over the same period in 2024 (including 4.35 million international tourists with accommodation), domestic tourists are estimated at 22.05 million, an increase of 21.4% over the same period in 2024. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 108.22 trillion VND, an increase of 19.8% over the same period in 2024” – Mr. Nguyen Tran Quang, shared.

Regarding the operation of accommodation establishments and other tourism services, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Nguyen Tran Quang informed that in October 2025, the average room occupancy rate of the hotel sector is estimated at 59.9%, an increase of 0.5 percentage points over the same period in 2024. Hanoi currently has 3,761 accommodation establishments with 71,256 rooms; of which there are 85 hotels and apartment buildings within the 1-5 star rating period with a total of 11,965 rooms. Specifically, there are 23 hotels and 07 apartment buildings with 5-star rating; 16 hotels and 01 apartment building with 4-star rating; 12 3-star hotels; 14 2-star hotels and 12 1-star hotels. The number of unregistered tourist accommodation establishments is 3,676 with 59,291 rooms.

In addition, in Hanoi, there are currently 58 service businesses that are being recognized as meeting the standards for serving tourists, including: 25 food service businesses, 22 shopping service businesses, 9 entertainment businesses, and 2 health care service businesses. The system of shopping, food, and entertainment service establishments that meet the standards for serving tourists has attracted and served a large number of tourists and people to visit and shop.

Up to now, in Hanoi City, there are 2,101 international travel service businesses; 586 domestic travel service businesses; 32 tourist transport businesses, 7 representative offices of foreign travel service businesses; 6,817 international tour guides; 2,598 domestic tour guides and 158 on-site tour guides in operation.

Hanoi launches many new attractive tourism events and products

Sharing about the tasks and solutions to continue developing tourism in the capital in November 2025 and the following time, Mr. Nguyen Tran Quang informed that the Hanoi Department of Tourism will submit to the City People's Committee for consideration and approval of the Project to innovate the organizational model, management methods, conservation, and promotion of the value of the special national historical relic site and scenic spot of Huong Son complex (Huong Pagoda), Hanoi.

In addition, the Department of Tourism organized a survey program and worked with the People's Committees of communes and wards in Hanoi on "Coordination of tourism development in communes and wards"; organized survey programs to connect tourist destinations of wards and communes with travel agencies in the city.

In the near future, the Department of Tourism will continue to organize a training conference on management, organization of activities and improvement of the quality of tourist destinations in 2025, especially preparing to organize the Hanoi Autumn Festival; Ao Dai Festival in 2025. The Capital Tourism Industry will also preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of wards, communes and related units to implement plans to build tourism products: Plan to implement the development of agricultural and rural tourism products in Bat Trang commune and Ung Thien commune.

Implementing the Plan to Build a Night Experience Tourism Product at the Special National Monument of Soc Temple, Soc Son Commune, Phase 1, 2025: Surveying and reporting on proposed ideas for consulting on tourism product development; building a management model; guiding the operation of night experience tours at the Special National Monument of Soc Temple. At the same time, implementing the Plan to build a community tourism model associated with the actual experience of traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities in Yen Xuan Commune (Phase 1, 2025)./.
