The types of disabilities screened during this period include: Facial deformities (cleft lip, cleft palate, nasal deformities, torn lips, etc.); sequelae of burns; motor disabilities (limb deformities causing difficulty in walking and movement, extra fingers, fused fingers, torticollis, scoliosis, deltoid muscle fibrosis, congenital hip dislocation, etc.); eye defects (strabismus, ptosis, cataracts, etc.); ear defects (body deformities, ear pain due to inflammation of internal organs, hearing loss); genital and anal defects (umbilical hernia, inguinal hernia, hydrocele, undescended testicles, high or low urethral opening, hermaphroditism, etc.) and other benign tumors, pectus excavatum (excluding congenital heart disease).
During this campaign, doctors from Quang Tri Provincial General Hospital, staff from Center II, and regional health centers will conduct screenings for approximately 500 disabled children under 16 years old. The screening activities will be held in Dong Ha, Nam Dong Ha, and Quang Tri wards, and the communes of Dakrong, Hai Lang, Gio Linh, Trieu Phong, Cam Lo, Vinh Linh, and Khe Sanh.
