Speaking to reporters of Hanoi Moi Newspaper on the morning of July 22, Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, Director of WinMart Thang Long Supermarket, said that as soon as there was information about storm No. 3, WinMart quickly deployed a contingency plan, closely coordinating with the Department of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities to ensure adequate reserves of goods, essential foods, dry foods, etc.
For vegetables and fruits, WinMart has proactively planned to coordinate supply from Lam Dong to the North to promptly meet the sharp increase in demand in areas affected by the storm.
All products are controlled from reception, storage to display. Vegetable and meat reserves increased by more than 50% compared to normal days.
For stores located in areas directly affected by storms or in flooded areas, WinMart operates flexibly and proactively coordinates with suppliers to coordinate goods sources.
“In any situation, we try to transport and ensure uninterrupted supply of goods, ready to distribute to supermarkets/stores,” Mr. Nguyen Van Manh informed.
According to records, purchasing power at many WinMart/WinMart+ points of sale has increased dramatically, with some supermarkets up to 200% compared to normal.

To make it convenient for customers to shop during storms, WinMart connects with customers through a loyalty program for members, with a 20% discount and delivery via "Online shopping" on winmart.vn to proactively serve customers better.
“Currently, WinMart/WinMart+/WiN in areas affected by storm Wipha are also facing many difficulties, but we are making efforts to ensure the safety of workers at supermarkets and stores, maintain business operations, stabilize prices for consumers, and contribute to ensuring social security,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Manh.
