The Department of Information and Communications of Thua Thien Hue Province launched a campaign to support people in overcoming the consequences of Typhoon No. 3.

Attending the launching ceremony were Comrade Nguyen Duong Anh – Deputy Director of the Department, Chairman of the Trade Union; Comrade Bui Hoang Minh – Deputy Director of the Department; and all officials, civil servants, employees, and workers of the Department and the IOC Center.

Leaders, officials, and employees of the Thua Thien Hue Department of Information and Communications participated in supporting people in overcoming the consequences of Typhoon No. 3.

In recent days, Typhoon No. 3 ( Yagi ) has caused severe damage to lives and property in the northern provinces and cities of Vietnam, resulting in over 300 deaths and disappearances, hundreds of injuries, many houses collapsed, flooded, roofs blown off, and damaged, many hectares of rice, crops, and trees destroyed, and bridges, roads, and transportation severely damaged. In this emergency situation, many units from localities across the country have joined hands to contribute manpower and resources to support the people in the flood-affected areas.

Leaders, officials, and employees of the Thua Thien Hue Department of Information and Communications participated in supporting people in overcoming the consequences of Typhoon No. 3.

Upholding the spirit of solidarity and mutual support, the Trade Union of the Department of Information and Communications mobilized all its officials, civil servants, and employees to contribute at least one day's salary each. Through this fundraising campaign, a total of 18,300,000 VND was collected. This money will be transferred to the account of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to promptly assist and support people in the northern provinces in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters as quickly as possible.

Comrade Nguyen Duong Anh – Deputy Director of the Department, Chairman of the Trade Union, delivered a speech at the launching ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Duong Anh – Deputy Director of the Department and Chairman of the Trade Union – emphasized: The joint effort to share and support the people of the North in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters at this time is a great source of encouragement, demonstrating noble solidarity and contributing to sharing the pain, loss, and difficulties with the people of the northern provinces and cities affected by natural disasters, helping them to stabilize their lives as soon as possible.
