Exciting contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" in Nui Thanh commune

ĐNO - On the morning of November 15, at the multi-purpose gymnasium of Nui Thanh commune, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 coordinated with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee, the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang City to organize the contest "I love the sea and islands of my homeland" for the 2025-2026 school year for secondary school students in Nui Thanh commune.

Competition “I love my homeland’s sea and islands” is an activity to strengthen traditional education, raise awareness, build patriotism, love for the homeland’s sea and islands, and students’ awareness and responsibility for the cause of building and protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

The contest was organized in the form of “Golden Bell” with the participation of 100 typical contestants, representing students of 5 secondary schools in Nui Thanh commune. The contestants went through 4 rounds including: Going out to sea, Overcoming waves, Arriving at the shore and Setting up sovereignty markers.

The exam content includes multiple-choice questions about the country's seas and islands; Party and State documents related to sea and island sovereignty, focusing on the 2012 Law on the Sea of ​​Vietnam, the 2018 Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard; the tradition of the heroic Vietnam Coast Guard; and the tradition of the heroic city of Da Nang .

After the exciting competitions, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the excellent contestants and awarded the online contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" to representatives of the schools: Phan Chau Trinh Secondary School, Le Loi Secondary School, Tran Cao Van Secondary School.

In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes for the video clip creation contest "The sea and islands of the Fatherland and the Coast Guard soldiers"; and awarded 25 scholarships to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies in Nui Thanh commune.

In the 2025-2026 school year, the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" will be held in 11 coastal communes and wards of Da Nang city in many diverse forms, combining online and in-person.

After the commune and ward level rounds, the 100 students with the best results will participate in the city level round, scheduled to take place in January 2026. Next, Da Nang will select 5 outstanding students to participate in the regional final round, scheduled to take place in March 2026, competing with teams from the following provinces and cities: Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai and Gia Lai.
