Exciting social work activities in Can Gio district

On May 27, the Steering Committee for coordinating activities between the armed forces and socio-political organizations of Ho Chi Minh City (Steering Committee) organized social work activities in Can Gio district (Ho Chi Minh City) on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

Comrade Nguyen Thi Bach Mai and Standing Deputy Secretary of Can Gio District Party Committee Doan Thi Ngoc Cam presented gifts to policy families and households in difficult circumstances.

At the program, comrade Nguyen Thi Bach Mai emphasized that these are activities to show gratitude, demonstrate the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repay gratitude". At the same time, promote the spirit of great national unity; the sentiments and responsibilities of cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and armed forces. The city wishes to contribute and accompany the Party Committee, government and people of Can Gio district in the process of building and developing people's lives to become better and better.

Within the framework of the program, there are meaningful activities such as: visiting and presenting gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; presenting 60 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids and martyrs, families with revolutionary contributions, children of martyrs and workers, union members and association members in difficult circumstances; presenting 17 gifts to armed forces units; presenting 10 bicycles to students and families in difficult circumstances; supporting 22 production tools and means of livelihood for farmers in difficult circumstances.

Along with that, members of the city delegation and Can Gio district forces participated in the environmental protection program, picking up trash at Can Gio beach area (Can Thanh town).

Working group participates in tree planting activities

In Tam Thon Hiep commune, the city delegation inaugurated the following projects: installing 30 solar lights for a 700m long coastal road; installing exercise equipment (including pull-up bars, sit-ups, etc.); building a children's playground (slides, swings, seesaws, etc.) and participating in tree planting activities. The total amount of care and support on this occasion was one billion VND.
