The program took place during General Secretary and President To Lam's visit to UNESCO headquarters, with the participation of UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay and other high-ranking leaders.

Accordingly, Sovico Group Joint Stock Company will be a strategic partner of UNESCO in Vietnam from 2025 to 2035 in implementing UNESCO's sustainable development initiatives in Vietnam, including: supporting projects and creative arts activities in the cultural field, promoting the Hanoi Creative Capital project and a chain of creative cities nationwide, the Happy School project in the education sector; and the role of youth in economic development initiatives in the fields of natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, based on traditional cultural and historical values.

Ms. Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of UNESCO, shared: “We are delighted with the results achieved during the past period of cooperation with Sovico Group. I have confidence in Sovico's capacity and commitment to supporting and implementing UNESCO's initiatives and goals in Vietnam in the future.”

Previously, during the 2021-2025 cooperation period, Sovico Group and UNESCO signed an agreement and jointly implemented the project "Empowering youth and women to enhance local connectivity and benefits at UNESCO-recognized World Heritage sites and creative cities in Vietnam," aiming to support Vietnam in building creative cities and developing sustainable tourism in local communities within the North Central Heritage Corridor.

Furthermore, in September 2020, Sovico and United Nations organizations including UNESCO, UNIDO, and UN-Habitat collaborated on the "Hanoi Rethink" project to support Hanoi in becoming a creative capital in Asia, along with many other meaningful activities.

This strategic cooperation agreement between Sovico Group and UNESCO aims for a long-term, comprehensive partnership across multiple fields, with a priority focus on promoting Vietnamese cultural activities through UNESCO's global network of creative cities in Vietnam and educational programs based on the happy school model. It will contribute significantly to realizing the commitments of both parties to sustainable development initiatives and goals, built upon Vietnam's cultural, historical, and traditional values ​​and its increasingly profound international influence.
