Man detained for beating truck driver in Binh Phuoc

On the evening of December 17, information from the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Xoai City Police (Binh Phuoc), the unit issued a decision to temporarily detain Bui Van Hoang Anh (35 years old, residing in Binh Duong province) to investigate the acts of disturbing public order and intentionally causing injury.

Bui Van Hoang Anh assaulted Mr. NVC (39 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City), a truck driver on Highway 741, causing public outrage over the past two days.

Earlier, on the evening of December 15, a 4-minute clip recorded a male truck driver being repeatedly kicked and punched in the head by a man in the driver’s compartment. Sitting in the passenger seat was a woman holding a small child.

It is worth mentioning that even though the woman tried to stop him and the child cried out in fear, the man did not stop and continued to aggressively attack the male driver.

The clip, after being posted, has angered the online community. Many people believe that the authorities need to quickly verify and handle the man's hooliganism.

By the afternoon of December 17, the police summoned Bui Van Hoang Anh to the headquarters for questioning.

At the police station, Hoang Anh confessed that at around 4:00 p.m. on December 15, Hoang Anh and his friend drove a pickup truck from Phu Giao District (Binh Duong) to Dong Xoai City ( Binh Phuoc ) to watch fishing. Before that, the two had drunk alcohol.

Approaching Ta Be slope (Dong Xoai city), a truck drove by with signs of forcing the car. In an unexpected situation, the driver suddenly braked, causing Hoang Anh to be thrown onto the front seat of the car.

Angry, at the red light intersection, Hoang Anh got out of the car, pulled open the truck door and rushed to beat the driver.
