New Miss Dai Viet Businesswoman 2025: "Softness is the strength of women"

With her intellectual beauty, bravery and inspiring response, beauty Le Thi Thanh Kieu, from Quang Nam, was crowned Miss Dai Viet Businesswoman 2025, the first season, in Gia Lai on the evening of May 26. She also won two additional awards: Miss Lovely Face and Miss Talent.

The Final Night with the theme " The Quintessence of Dai Viet in the Central Highlands " took place in a space imbued with the identity and echoes of the great forest.

Modern women: Keeping the fire burning and creating value

During the Final night, Thanh Kieu received the question: " As a modern businesswoman, how do you balance and take care of family, career and social work? "

A contestant from Quang Nam answered: “Balancing work, life and social relationships is not something new these days. Since ancient times, our grandmothers and mothers – traditional Vietnamese women – have silently shouldered and done it very well. They don’t need to say much, but they always know how to keep the family home, take care of their children, and at the same time be a strong spiritual support for the whole family. Today, as a modern woman, I am just continuing that spirit, but in a more proactive and courageous way.”

I understand that life will never be perfect, nor will I always receive absolute consensus from my loved ones. But I believe that when each family member works towards a common goal, puts faith and love first, all difficulties can be overcome.

Participating in this competition is a very personal decision. I know that not everyone in my family fully supports me from the beginning. But I believe that when they see me confidently walking on stage and performing my best, they will feel proud. And that is the motivation for me to continue conquering new challenges, not only for myself, but also to inspire other women, that we can live fully, both as family keepers and as value creators for society."

The new Miss received a prestigious award including 100 million VND in cash, a crown, scepter, certificate, trophy, ribbon and coronation chair. Among those artifacts, the crown is considered a work of art worth more than 1 billion VND. The crown design was inspired by the image of the queen combined with Dai Viet patterns, interwoven between soft curves and powerful symmetrical motifs.

The focal point is a rare blue sapphire, surrounded by intricately set gemstones and crystals, symbolizing the core qualities of a successful woman: “heart-talent-intelligence-virtue.”

Softness is the strength of women

Immediately after the coronation night, the new Miss shared her emotional and inspiring thoughts. Overcoming gender stereotypes, she successfully started a business in the fishing equipment business – a niche market in an industry that was thought to be only for men.

“Everyone thinks fishing is a man’s playground. But that is my advantage. When a woman understands the product and gives advice with subtlety and gentleness, it creates a unique value that is difficult for men to replace,” Thanh Kieu shared.

Starting out as an English interpreter in the tourism industry, Thanh Kieu had the opportunity to support an international partner who was also the president of a famous brand that needed to distribute products in Vietnam. In 2019, when tourism was frozen due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she decided to "bet" her entire career and focus on the fishing tackle industry by establishing Ryoko Vietnam.

Not only did Thanh Kieu's business survive the economic downturn, it also thrived by choosing to enter the high-end segment - specializing in importing sophisticatedly designed fishing tackle products from Thai artisans and exclusively distributing them in Vietnam.

“I don’t compete on price. I serve tasteful customers who are not looking for products, but for value and experience. That’s the segment I chose, and there are almost no ‘competitors’ if you do better than them,” the new beauty queen emphasized.

Even though she has just been crowned Miss, Thanh Kieu does not see it as the end but as the beginning of a mission to spread the spirit of daring to step out of the comfort zone, daring to pursue things that no one thought they would do.

“As a woman, sometimes softness is strength. I want to say that don’t be afraid of disadvantages, turn them into advantages. And start from zero, because sometimes, the most beautiful things start from the simplest beginning,” Thanh Kieu expressed./.
