Promoting the value of national treasures

According to the Provincial Museum, Vinh Long currently owns 3 national treasures: Linga-Yoni idol, Chau Thanh gold leaf collection and Vishnu statue in Vung Liem. These treasures are rare and valuable, typical of the country in terms of history, culture and science , proving a brilliant development period of the Southern region, contributing to affirming the unique value of Oc Eo culture in Vinh Long province.

Innovating methods of displaying and introducing heritage helps visitors easily access information.

To promote the value of treasures, the Provincial Museum has promoted the display, promotion and digitization. Recently, national treasures have been displayed at a number of important events of the country and the province such as: participating in the National Achievement Exhibition "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" in Hanoi; Provincial Party Congress; Culture, Sports and Tourism Week to celebrate the Ok Om Bok festival in 2025,... creating a strong attraction for visitors.

In the coming time, the provincial cultural sector will research and implement many activities focusing on the implementation of museum digitization. Treasures will be photographed, profiled, and a digital database will be built to serve long-term research and preservation.

This is an important step for Vinh Long to catch up with the digital transformation trend in the cultural field. Innovating methods of displaying and introducing heritage, creating QR codes, 3D models, etc. helps visitors easily access information and interact with artifacts.

At the same time, strengthen conservation associated with community education, coordinate with schools in the province to organize many thematic tours and heritage education programs for students; exploit the value of national treasures associated with tourism development.
