Up more than 1000 places, Nguyen Tuan Anh rose to the number 1 position in Vietnam on OWGR

Vietnam Masters 2025, a tournament under the Asian Development Tour (ADT) system with OWGR points, is a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese professional and amateur golfers to make their mark internationally.

Here, Tuan Anh played excellently with a total score of -16, only 2 strokes behind the champion Sarut Vongchaisit (Thailand). He won the overall runner-up position and the title of Best Amateur for the best amateur golfer of the tournament.

This achievement helps the 16-year-old golfer increase nearly 1,100 places on the OWGR rankings, from 2,886 to 1,813 in the world , thereby surpassing Nguyen Anh Minh (currently ranked 2,698) to become the highest-ranked professional Vietnamese golfer at present.

In just a few months, Tuan Anh has become the most sought-after star in the golf community. In August, he impressed with the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025.

A month later, he won the Best Amateur title at the Singha Bangkok Open 2025, one of the prestigious tournaments on the All Thailand Golf Tour. Next, the 16-year-old golfer made a big splash with his victory at the Singha Thailand Amateur Open 2025, a tournament with a long tradition of producing many Asian talents.

The rapid progress in a short time shows the remarkable maturity of Tuan Anh - the face that is becoming a new symbol for the generation of young Vietnamese golfers integrating internationally. The rise to the No. 1 professional position in Vietnam while still an amateur golfer has affirmed the talent, courage and competitive will of the 16-year-old golfer.

Along with Nguyen Tuan Anh, Nguyen Nhat Long also made significant progress on the OWGR. The 2023 National Golf Champion finished T21 overall at the Vietnam Masters 2025, thereby rising to 2,865th in the world, becoming the number 3 golfer in Vietnam today.

In 4th place is Tran Le Duy Nhat (2,925th), although he did not pass the cut round at this year's tournament. Truong Chi Quan ranked 5th among Vietnamese professionals, with 3,100 OWGR position.
