Specifically, Region I increased by 5.54%, Region II increased by 13.76%, Region III increased by 9.13%. Each industry and sector has set specific targets for each sprint stage, specifically in the third quarter, it must achieve growth of 8.4% (Region I increased by 6.46%, Region II increased by 11.4%, Region III increased by 8.71%) and focus on the fourth quarter to achieve growth of 9.2% (Region I increased by 4.65%, Region II increased by 15.5%, Region III increased by 9.5%).

Focus on super-intensive shrimp farming according to the value chain

With the economy still facing many difficulties, heavily dependent on Sector I (fisheries, agriculture, forestry), Mr. To Hoai Phuong, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, said that the industry focuses on prioritizing the development of super-intensive shrimp farming, maintaining the super-intensive shrimp farming area of 13,200 hectares, with an average yield of 23 tons/ha/year; in which, applying the production process in the direction of circulation, no waste discharge, expanding the concentrated and dispersed super-intensive farming area according to the zero-waste process from 400-500 hectares. Along with that, widely implementing improved extensive shrimp farming, improved extensive farming in 2, 3 stages for 198,000 hectares; shrimp - rice, shrimp - forest, ecological shrimp farming , organic shrimp... to improve the quality, efficiency and develop the shrimp industry in 2025 and the following years. Expand and develop shrimp farming models suitable for each ecological region to apply new science and technology and apply international certification standards.

Ca Mau prioritizes the development of super-intensive shrimp farming, maintaining a super-intensive shrimp farming area of 13,200 hectares, with an average yield of 23 tons/ha/year.

“We are focusing on organizing production according to chain linkages on about 30% of the super-intensive farming area, equivalent to 4,000 hectares; building quality standard certification for 100,000 hectares of improved extensive shrimp farming (yield type 550 kg/ha). Thereby, contributing to achieving a total shrimp farming output of 565,000 tons, contributing to achieving an export turnover of about 2,600 million USD”, Mr. To Hoai Phuong shared.

In the field of rice cultivation, the industry focuses on promoting the application of mechanization in production, especially in the harvesting stage to improve product quality; continue to promote the implementation of the Project on Sustainable Development of 1 million hectares of high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030, registering to participate in the Project with a total area of 69,304.4 hectares; of which, 2-3 crop rice is 44,188.5 hectares, shrimp rice is 25,115.9 hectares; deploy 2 models of high-quality, low-emission rice production of 60 hectares at Kinh Don Cooperative, Da Bac Commune and 50 hectares at Hong Phat Cooperative, Tuong Thang B Hamlet, Vinh Thanh Commune; increase the application of science and technology in production stages.

Tourism development, service growth

As one of the important and potential sectors, promoting the development of related sectors, contributing to the annual growth of Region III from 9.25% or more, in the last 6 months of the year, the tourism industry strives to attract about 2.8 million visitors (of which the third quarter reached 1.5 million, the fourth quarter reached 1.3 million); total revenue of about 3,700 billion VND. Accordingly, the whole year is estimated to reach 8 million visitors, an increase of 10.3% over the same period and total revenue of more than 8,585 billion VND, an increase of 16.8% over the same period.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the Project on Tourism Development in Ca Mau Province to 2030, with a vision to 2050, will be completed; the Master Plan for Conservation and Promotion of the Value of Special National Monuments (3 monuments) and the Project for Protection and Promotion of the Value of National Treasures; the Project for Organizing and Implementing the Outdoor Advertising Plan; and the Project for Developing Human Resources in the Cultural Sector.

“In addition to completing key tourism infrastructure, developing typical destinations and promoting and advertising, we focus on developing tourism, attracting tourists to famous destinations such as: Ca Mau Cape, U Minh Ha, Hon Da Bac, Tac Say Church, Nam Hai Mother, Bac Lieu Prince's House, Bac Lieu's Nha Mat Tourist Area... Along with that, we organize activities of the Ca Mau - Destination 2025 Event Program, including the event "2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2025"; organize activities in the event "Hello Ca Mau"...", Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh added.

Regarding tourism development, stimulating service demand, contributing to local economic growth, Mr. Mai Hoang Viet, Director of Cong Tu Bac Lieu Tourism Service Joint Stock Company, said that in the last 6 months of 2025, the unit aims to grow by at least 10% compared to the first 6 months of the year, continuing to create stable jobs for more than 130 local workers, contributing to the sustainable development of the tourism industry in Ca Mau province.

“The unit focuses on developing unique tourism products to deeply exploit the cultural values of “Bac Lieu Prince” and the identity of the Western region to build experiential models; enhance tourism promotion; promote business linkages… determined to attract 40,000 more tourists to the “Bac Lieu Prince’s House” tourist attraction in the last 6 months of the year, contributing to the overall growth of the province”, Mr. Mai Hoang Viet shared the unit’s determination.
