Nam Cuong Group (Nam Cuong Hanoi Group Joint Stock Company) was founded in 1984 in Nam Dinh by the late businessman Tran Van Cuong. The predecessor was Xuan Thuy Agricultural Transport Service Complex, operating in the field of transportation and trading of agricultural materials. Later, it opened branches in many localities. The Group operated in the fields of transportation, trade and accommodation, before shifting to become a real estate planner and developer with many large-scale projects in many localities, including Hai Duong.

Taking the lead in the policy of using land funds to create capital for infrastructure construction to create resources, contribute to economic restructuring, promote socio-economic development (exchanging land for infrastructure), Nam Cuong Group pioneered the construction of large traffic works and became one of the leading real estate planners and developers in the country.

In Hai Duong, Nam Cuong started implementing the first project in 2003, being the investor of the Eastern (138 ha) and Western (595 ha) urban areas. In 2019, at the first National Urban Planning Award (VUPA) ceremony held at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace (Hanoi), Nam Cuong Group Joint Stock Company was honored with the "National Urban Planning" gold prize for the East-West urban area of Hai Duong city.

Currently, Nam Cuong is implementing the Pearl Island - Hai Duong Urban and Eco-tourism Project with a scale of 50.2 hectares.

In 2004, Nam Cuong Group handed over October 30 Square to Hai Duong City government. In 2005, the 4-star Nam Cuong Hai Duong Hotel came into operation, contributing to enhancing the position of Hai Duong tourism industry.

In addition, Nam Cuong also participates in traffic infrastructure projects such as BOT traffic investment by contributing 55% of capital to BOT Road 188 Company Limited - investor of BOT Road 188 project, An Thai - Mao Khe section (Hai Duong - Quang Ninh), total length 14.74 km.

Also on this occasion, Nam Cuong Group officially introduced The Tray Do Son Hotel (Hai Phong). This is a key project to celebrate the group's 40th anniversary. The 5-star hotel has a capacity of about 180 rooms and is expected to open in 2024.
