Training to improve poverty reduction capacity for grassroots Youth Union officials of Tri Ton commune

On September 17 and 18, the Vietnam Youth and Children Support Center (Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union) coordinated with An Giang Provincial Youth Union to organize a training course to improve the capacity of grassroots Youth Union officials participating in poverty reduction work. 90 trainees from Youth Union branches, hamlet branches and specialized officials participating in poverty reduction work in Tri Ton commune attended.

Trainees were informed about the results of implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021 - 2025 period, implementation orientation for the 2026 - 2035 period; and the current status of poverty reduction work in Tri Ton commune.

Along with theory, students also participated in exchanging experiences and visiting economic development and poverty reduction models in Long Xuyen ward (An Giang province).

This is an opportunity for grassroots Youth Union cadres to learn good practices and effective models, and then flexibly apply them to local practices.
