Professional training for the 2026 Economic Census

On December 3 and 4, Dak Lak Provincial Statistics Office organized a training course on professional skills and information technology for survey forms for individual production and business establishments, cooperatives, religious and belief establishments in the 2026 Economic Census.

The training course had more than 80 officers and civil servants participating, who were directly responsible for guiding, implementing, checking and supervising the work of collecting information from grassroots survey forms.

At the training course, officers and civil servants of the Statistics sector were introduced to the main content of the 2026 Economic Census plan, the implementation plan in the area; survey content, grassroots survey forms, monitoring process; at the same time, they were instructed on propaganda work, how to use the general management website of the 2026 Economic Census, instructions on using the CAPI software for survey forms for production establishments, individual businesses, cooperatives... Along with the theoretical content, officers participating in the training course also directly practiced the CAPI software for grassroots survey forms.

Speaking at the training course, Mr. Nguyen Quang Phuoc, Deputy Head of Statistics of Dak Lak province, said: In order to organize and implement the 2026 Economic Census smoothly and ensure quality, the organization of this training course plays an important role, not only providing professional guidance but also helping to unify the implementation process, ensuring accuracy, objectivity and consistency throughout the process of collecting information on the grassroots survey forms in the area. The 2026 Economic Census is chaired by the Ministry of Finance ; ministries, branches and localities are in charge of collecting information within the prescribed scope. This census will collect information on the situation and production and business results of 6 types of survey units according to organizational types including: Groups, general companies, enterprises, branches of independent accounting enterprises under enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative unions, people's credit funds; Non-public service units; associations; Production and business establishments belonging to administrative agencies and public service units; individual production and business establishments; Cooperatives; Branches and representative offices of enterprises and non-governmental organizations; Religious and belief establishments.

In addition to professional theory, officers and civil servants also practice and use CAPI software for basic survey forms.

The 2026 Economic Census is large-scale, has a wide scope, diverse subjects and a long implementation period. The survey results will be an important basis for comprehensively assessing the economic picture of the province and each commune and ward after the merger, serving as a basis for policy making, socio-economic development planning, serving the management and operation of all levels and sectors.
