
The training was attended by 155 delegates who are cultural officers of communes, wards and members of clubs. The delegates were informed of the directive documents of the Prime Minister and the Provincial People's Committee on the National Strategy for the Elderly, the Project on developing the model of Intergenerational Self-Help Clubs; introduced the model, principles and areas of operation of the Club; instructed on communication skills, organizing activities and health care for members. At the same time, the delegates also exchanged and discussed solutions to expand and improve the quality of activities of Clubs at the grassroots level.

Currently, Son La province has 132 intergenerational self-help clubs with nearly 7,300 members, maintaining regular activities. The clubs are managing capital of more than 3.7 billion VND, supporting 597 members with loans for economic development, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the elderly.
