Tay Ninh: Investing in many border trade development projects

In the 2026-2030 period, Tay Ninh province will focus on implementing many programs and projects to develop border trade associated with ensuring national defense and security.

The new Tan Cang – Moc Bai dry port was opened in Tay Ninh province.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Tay Ninh province, by 2030, Tay Ninh province aims to make border trade a driving force for socio- economic development; striving to make Tay Ninh a transit point for import and export goods of the Southern key economic region to the markets of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and ASEAN.

By 2050, the border economic zone will become a dynamic economic zone in terms of industrial, commercial, service, agricultural and border gate economic development towards balanced and sustainable development. The total value of imported and exported goods through border gates in Tay Ninh province will increase by an average of 7.5% per year or more.

In the 2026-2030 period, Tay Ninh will develop a list of 41 priority programs and projects, focusing on the following areas: border gate infrastructure development, industry - trade - services in border areas, development of connecting traffic infrastructure, etc.

Among them, there are some typical projects such as: Investment in construction of border gates, border gate infrastructure at Vac Sa, Vam Trang Trau, Long Phuoc, Tong Le Chan border gates; investment in technical infrastructure of My Quy Tay industrial cluster project, Thanh Long industrial cluster; construction of model border markets at Tan Nam border gate area and Long Phuoc border gate; upgrading and expanding existing provincial roads and large-capacity bridges.

Along with that, Tay Ninh province reviews and simplifies administrative procedures at border gates to facilitate and promote import and export activities of goods, entry and exit of people and means of transport through border gates; regularly organizes conferences to connect import and export trade between Tay Ninh and Cambodia...

Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee has assigned specific tasks to each local department and branch in charge of implementing the above programs and projects.

At the same time, develop plans and implement programs, arrange priority investment projects; improve the effectiveness of border area management, focus on economic development associated with protecting territorial sovereignty and security in border areas.
