The Southern Traditional Cake Festival has about 300 booths with more than 100 types of cakes and many OCOP products and souvenirs.
Since the morning of April 29, a large number of tourists have flocked to the venue of the 10th Southern Traditional Cake Festival at the square of Binh Thuy district, Can Tho city to enjoy more than 100 types of delicious cakes from many provinces and cities.
Here, visitors can admire and enjoy many types of cakes such as: banh bo, banh tet, banh la cam, banh it tran, banh chuoi... The cakes are meticulously made by artisans with eye-catching colors.
The festival has more than 300 booths of artisans from many provinces and cities across the country and 9 districts of Can Tho city; divided into areas: Southern folk cakes; OCOP products (One Commune One Product program); cuisine ; handicrafts; souvenirs...
Within the framework of the festival, there are also incense offering and cake offering activities to commemorate Hung Kings, a folk cake making contest and a performance on how to make folk cakes.
The festival lasts until May 2nd.
Mr. Nguyen Thuc Hien, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, requested the organizing committee to strictly implement disease prevention measures; ensure food hygiene and safety, environmental sanitation; ensure security and order; and improve civilized behavior.
