Musician Ha Phuong's real name is Duong Van Lam, born in 1938 in Tien Giang . In his composing career, he wrote more than 100 works, notably songs about rain and flowers: Rain in a small province at night, Rainy season passed, Rain in the afternoon of memories, Rainy afternoon across the river, Rain through the deserted street...; Cotton sesbania, Cotton hydrangea, Cotton purple, Love story of cat vine flowers ... His songs were performed by many overseas and domestic singers who specialize in singing lyrical music: Huong Lan, Truong Vu, Cam Ly, Phi Nhung...

In 2020, in the program Love Storyteller (broadcast on THVL Radio), musician Ha Phuong said that after the stroke (in 2019), his health weakened a lot.
