Returning to his revolutionary homeland with a particularly meaningful mission, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan visited one of the landmarks of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in Quang Minh village, Tan Tinh commune, Chiem Hoa district.

During the resistance war against the French, generations of leaders of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs lived, worked and carried out important tasks in many locations in Tuyen Quang province. Currently, there are still 6 stone steles marking the residence and workplace of the Ministry. Of which, Son Duong district has 3 steles, Chiem Hoa district has 2 steles, and 1 stele marking the headquarters of the Ministry in Hamlet 4, Trang Da commune, Tuyen Quang city.

In Tan Thinh commune, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan and his delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Ha Phuc Cu (79 years old, residing in Minh Quang village), a veteran who was infected with 81% of toxic chemicals.

Meeting the old veteran, the leaders of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs kindly asked about the health of Mr. Cu and his family, and expressed their deep gratitude for his contributions and sacrifices as well as the losses his family had to endure in the struggle for independence and freedom for the country.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan hopes that Mr. Cu's family will continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, becoming a shining example in educating children and grandchildren to compete in studying, working, overcoming difficulties, and rising up in life.

On the same morning, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan and the working delegation visited the family of Ms. Tran Thi Xuan (residing in Vinh Thai residential group, Vinh Loc town), a relative of a martyr who unfortunately lost her house in the recent flood.

Sharing Ms. Xuan's situation, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan donated 10 million VND, with the wish to join hands with the locality to support the martyr's relatives so that they can soon have a new house to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

After visiting households that lost their homes due to the storm, the delegation had an urgent meeting with the People's Committee of Chiem Hoa district to grasp the situation of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and ensuring social security in the locality. Here, the delegation also visited and presented gifts to families in difficult circumstances, as well as policy families that suffered damage caused by storm No. 3.

Here, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan sent his regards, sympathies and encouragement to the people of Tuyen Quang, especially the people of Chiem Hoa district. He was grateful that the local leaders took the time with the working delegation to visit and encourage the families affected by natural disasters and floods.

The Deputy Minister asked local authorities to continue to care for and support people to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives. According to him, the immediate task is to find land for resettlement and support the reconstruction of houses for households that have lost their homes.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan presented support for 5 houses to households whose houses were completely collapsed (including 4 households in Chiem Hoa district, 1 household in Tuyen Quang city), from the source of the Ministry's trade union, and agencies and units under the Ministry, and readers of Dan Tri newspaper.

In addition, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan and leaders of agencies and units under the Ministry presented funds and many meaningful gifts to 150 children from poor households, as well as 40 families in difficult circumstances in Chiem Hoa district.

In the afternoon of the same day, the working delegation visited and encouraged two families in Tuyen Quang city.

Coming to express condolences and encourage Ms. Dao Thi Yen (39 years old, Doi Can ward, Tuyen Quang city) - a woman who just lost her husband in storm No. 3, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan presented 10 million VND and spent a lot of time encouraging Ms. Yen and her three children to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

The delegation also spent time visiting the family of Mr. Nguyen Van Buu (81 years old) and Mrs. Pham Thi Xung (83 years old) in Phan Thiet Ward, Tuyen Quang City. Mr. Buu's family is a group of people with meritorious services, worshiping martyrs whose house was greatly affected by storm No. 3.

The total income of the couple is only 4 million VND/month, of which 3.5 million VND is Mrs. Xung's pension, and Mr. Buu has an elderly allowance of 500,000 VND.

Sharing with Mr. Buu's family, the martyr's relative, Deputy Minister Nguyen Ba Hoan also donated 10 million VND and gave an additional 50 million VND from the support of Dan Tri readers to help them repair their house.
