Buakaw Banchamek will have his first boxing match against Kouzi Tanaka (Japan) on October 19 at the Martial Arts EXPO event. To prepare for this match, Buakaw Banchamek has been in the land of the rising sun and trained boxing with boxer Kota Miura, son of football legend Kazuyoshi Miura.
Two years ago, Kota Miura (born in 2002) lost to Buakaw Banchamek in an exhibition match in Thailand. Despite the defeat, Kota Miura later became close friends with Buakaw Banchamek. On his personal Instagram page, Kota Miura often shares photos taken with the Muay Thai legend.
Today, Kota Miura posted a series of photos of boxing training with Buakaw Banchamek and wrote about the Muay Thai legend: “Sometimes he is a teacher, sometimes a coach, sometimes a sparring partner, sometimes a big brother. But I always have respect and admiration for him in my heart.”
