The monthly unemployment benefit for employees is still calculated at 60% of the average monthly salary for unemployment insurance contributions of the 6 consecutive months before leaving work, but with a new ceiling added, not exceeding 5 times the regional minimum wage at the time of contract termination.

The unemployment benefit period is adjusted: if you have paid unemployment insurance for 12-36 months, you will receive 3 months; then for every 12 months of payment, you will receive 1 more month, but not more than 12 months. In addition, the new Law also shortens the waiting time to receive benefits after submitting the application, from 16 days to 11 working days, helping unemployed workers to receive support faster.
