According to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, immediately after receiving information about the incident in which Nobland Company deducted workers' salaries due to lost goods, the city directed the City Export Processing Zone - Industrial Park Trade Union to coordinate, support, and represent the protection of the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers at Nobland Vietnam Company Limited.

On May 10, at a conference to exchange opinions of businesses on trade union activities organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, a representative of the City Export Processing Zone - Industrial Park Trade Union said that they had worked with Nobland Vietnam Company and the company agreed to return the amount of money deducted from employees' April salaries.

Accordingly, this morning, the workers whose wages were deducted were invited to the office to be notified and sign a confirmation of the refund for the workers due to the deduction of money lost in April. At the same time, the company's accountant completed the procedure to transfer the deducted amount back to the workers' accounts.

In the afternoon of the same day, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Ms. T (a worker at Nobland Company Limited) said that the workers in the completion area had received the amount of money deducted from their April salary by the company. The above amount was transferred to the workers' accounts this afternoon.

Previously, the workers in the completed area of Nobland Vietnam Co., Ltd. (District 12, Ho Chi Minh City) reported that the company arbitrarily deducted money from the April salary of 112 workers in this area because the company lost goods.

According to the reflection of the workers in the Nobland company's completion area, on April 27, the workers in the completion area suddenly received a notice from the company that a quantity of goods was lost.

The company blamed the workers for smuggling the goods out, then calculated and determined the value of the lost goods to be 70 million VND. For this reason, Nobland Company announced that the responsibility belonged to 112 workers in the completion area, so each person had to contribute a part of the money to pay for the lost goods.

According to the complaint, the company announced that it would suffer a loss of 40 million VND, the remaining 30 million VND would be borne by 112 workers in the completion area, each person would have a different amount deducted, based on their position, salary coefficient and number of working hours in April.

According to lawyer Nguyen Duc Chanh, Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association, forcing workers to compensate for lost goods without determining their fault and "forcing" compensation by deducting wages is an illegal act.
