On September 12, Mr. Nguyen Van My, Chairman of Cam Lap Commune People's Committee, Cam Ranh City, informed that currently, parents of Cam Lap Primary - Secondary School (Tau Be location) have sent their children back to school at Bai Ngang location, only 1 student is sick and cannot go to class.
As Thanh Nien reported, Cam Lap Primary and Secondary School has 3 campuses including Nuoc Ngot, Tau Be and Bai Ngang, in which Nuoc Ngot is the main campus, while Tau Be and Bai Ngang are secondary campuses.

Cam Lap Primary and Secondary School (Tau Be location) closed to move to Bai Ngang location
Previously, many parents at Tau Be had their children stay home to protest the transfer. According to the parents' feedback, Tau Be school has been around for a long time, and their children's education has been stable for many years, but suddenly, from the 2024-2025 school year, the school announced that it would transfer all students at Tau Be to Bai Ngang campus, nearly 4 km away. With such a distance, parents will have a hard time picking up and dropping off their children to school every day.
Mr. Nguyen Van My pledged to support and help parents at Tau Be who are facing difficulties in transportation and finances , but this will take time. "Currently, the locality has also worked with the People's Committee of Cam Ranh City, with the orientation of implementing boarding at Bai Ngang school to create conditions for parents to have time to work," said Mr. My.
Meanwhile, speaking with reporters, Ms. Truong Thi My (parent of a student at Tau Be) said that although she had sent her children to Bai Ngang to study, many parents were still very upset with the local authorities' actions.
According to Ms. My, in order for their children to not miss school, parents are forced to take their children to Bai Ngang. However, in the long run, this will not be good because most of the parents here work at sea, going to work from morning to night, so taking their children to school will be very inconvenient.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (grandmother of a student at Tau Be) also said: “His parents work all day, I don’t know how to ride a motorbike so taking him to school is extremely difficult and tiring. Before the school near my house, he could go to school by himself. I hope the school and local authorities have a way to support the people because this is too miserable.”
Previously, sharing the reason for closing Tau Be school, Mr. Nguyen Van My, Chairman of Cam Lap Commune People's Committee, said that it was due to lack of teachers and the fact that this school only had 3 classes from grade 1 to grade 3 with a very small number of students. At the same time, the facilities at Tau Be school were seriously degraded, the brick walls were cracked, the mortar was peeling off a lot, posing a danger to students and teachers when studying and teaching here. On the other hand, this school was also caught up in the general traffic planning of the commune, so in terms of policy, a new school would not be built.
