Reclaiming 315 hectares of land to exploit materials for the construction of Gia Binh airport

Hai Phong City People's Council has just approved the recovery of 315.1 hectares of land in two wards to exploit minerals for the construction of Gia Binh International Airport.

At the 30th session held on the afternoon of October 26 (special session), the Hai Phong City People's Council passed a resolution on the policy of land recovery to exploit minerals for landfill materials, serving the construction of the Gia Binh International Airport Project.

The City People's Council approved the policy of reclaiming 315.1 hectares of land in Le Dai Hanh and Tran Nhan Tong wards to exploit minerals for filling materials to serve the construction of Gia Binh International Airport Project.

The recovered land area is located in 3 areas.

The area of ​​Vinh Tru islet (outer bank of Kinh Thay river), Le Dai Hanh ward has a recovered area of ​​257.1 hectares.

Dong Mai field area (located in Dong Mai river dike), Tran Nhan Tong ward has a recovered area of ​​35 hectares.

The Tiger Cave Hill area (the remaining part outside the auctioned part in 2022) in Tran Nhan Tong ward has a recovered area of ​​23 hectares.

The Hai Phong City People's Council assigned the City People's Committee to direct departments, branches, sectors and relevant agencies and units to implement the resolution to ensure compliance with legal provisions; at the same time, review and accurately determine the boundaries and areas within the scope of exploitation activities; carry out procedures for land recovery after granting mineral exploitation licenses, with approval from competent authorities and fully meeting the conditions in accordance with legal provisions.

The City People's Committee has measures to handle and overcome to ensure that the risk of natural disasters is minimized or not increased, and the stability of related works before natural disasters is ensured.

The project implementation must ensure publicity, transparency, economical, safe, effective, correct and complete use of land and forests in accordance with the law, without causing loss of assets, state budget, or waste of land...
