Comprehensive health care for the people

I hope the draft Political Report will clearly state solutions on prioritizing synchronous investment in primary health care, strengthening preventive medicine, proactively preventing epidemics and providing primary health care for people.

I agree with the main social targets for the 2026 - 2030 period stated in the draft Political Report of the 13th Party Central Committee presented to the 14th National Party Congress, which sets the target that by 2030, the average life expectancy will reach about 75.5 years, the minimum number of healthy years will be 68 years, instead of the current average life expectancy of 74.8 years, the number of healthy years will be about 67 years.

This is a completely reasonable goal when the Vietnamese healthcare system is increasingly developing, the grassroots healthcare network is consolidated, and the quality of medical examination and treatment is constantly improving. In particular, Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of 2025 of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health opens up a strategic and comprehensive direction for healthcare work and people's health care.

To concretize the above goal, I really hope that the draft Political Report will clearly state solutions on prioritizing synchronous investment in grassroots health care, especially in remote and isolated areas; strengthening preventive medicine, proactively preventing epidemics and providing primary health care for people. Along with that, pay more attention to health human resources, have appropriate remuneration policies for doctors and medical staff. Strongly apply digital transformation in managing and monitoring public health. At the same time, each person will have a periodic health check-up at least once a year, with convenient access to quality health services. When health is comprehensively cared for from disease prevention to treatment, people's life expectancy and quality of life will certainly improve, contributing to the successful implementation of the goal of comprehensive human development in Vietnam in the coming term.
