On the occasion of the Japanese Parliament convening a special session after the general election to re-elect the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the President of the Senate, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a congratulatory message to Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru on his reappointment.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also sent a congratulatory letter to the Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives, Nukaga Fukushiro, on his re-election, and to the new President of the Japanese Senate, Sekiguchi Masakazu.
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Iwaya Takeshi on his reappointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

According to Reuters , Shigeru Ishiba will continue to hold the position of Prime Minister, following a parliamentary vote on November 11th with 221 votes out of 465 seats in the Lower House. This marks the second time Japan has elected a prime minister in just over a month.
Prime Minister Ishiba is expected to announce his new cabinet later today, November 11th.
Earlier in October, Mr. Ishiba was elected as Japan's 102nd prime minister. He called for an extraordinary election on October 27th shortly after being elected leader of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP).
