Also attending the meeting were members of the Politburo , Secretaries of the Central Committee of the Party, members of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Economic Committee, Deputy Prime Ministers, members of the Government, and leaders of ministries, branches, and agencies under the Government.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated comrades Nguyen Hoa Binh, Ho Duc Phoc, and Bui Thanh Son on their appointments as Deputy Prime Ministers; comrade Do Duc Duy on his appointment as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment; and comrade Nguyen Hai Ninh on his appointment as Minister of Justice.
Emphasizing that this is a great honor and also a heavy responsibility entrusted by the Party and the State, the Prime Minister requested close adherence to and serious implementation of the directives of General Secretary and President To Lam when presenting the appointment decisions to the comrades.
The Prime Minister expressed his hope that the newly appointed officials would leverage their strengths and work experience, "sharing the hardships" with the Government collective, inheriting and developing the valuable traditions and experiences, and the great achievements of the Government throughout the years; further promoting unity, discipline, integrity, innovation, decisive and effective action, and excellently fulfilling the assigned tasks, especially the goals and tasks set forth by the 13th Party Congress; always wholeheartedly serving the Fatherland and the people, all for the benefit of the Party, the nation, and the people, for the strong and prosperous development of the country, and for the happiness and well-being of the people.
On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also congratulated Comrade Tran Luu Quang on being entrusted by the Politburo with the position of Head of the Central Economic Committee; at the same time, he acknowledged and highly appreciated Comrade Tran Luu Quang's important contributions in his capacity as Deputy Prime Minister; and hoped that Comrade Tran Luu Quang, in his new position, would continue to cooperate and share with the Government and its agencies so that these agencies could successfully fulfill their assigned tasks.
On behalf of the newly appointed comrades, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that this is a great honor, but also a very heavy responsibility before the Party, the State, and the people; pledging to continuously strive, maintain and promote unity and solidarity, and work together with the Government to successfully complete the assigned tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party.
