In this context, Vietnamese-owned businesses and enterprises, although still developing on a small and medium scale, have gradually promoted trade and introduced Vietnamese goods and cuisine to the local people.
At the meeting, Vietnamese people in Türkiye expressed their joy at the remarkable development and their confidence in the bright future of their country, as well as the good and continuously developing relationship between Vietnam and Turkey. In particular, they expressed their gratitude for the care and attention given to the Vietnamese community abroad, including those in Turkey.
The Vietnamese community hopes that the Party and the State will implement more meaningful and practical policies and activities to give them more opportunities to contribute to their homeland, promote the image of Vietnam, its culture, and its people in their host countries, and help them feel more confident in their lives, studies, work, and careers.

According to Vietnamese Ambassador to Türkiye Do Son Hai, the Vietnamese community in Türkiye numbers approximately 200 people. They all abide by the law and integrate well into the local community; they are always united, help each other, and maintain a connection to their homeland.
In response to the sentiments of the Vietnamese community in Türkiye, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotion and sent his warmest regards and best wishes to all Vietnamese people living, working, studying, and serving in Turkey.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the Vietnamese diaspora abroad, including the community in Türkiye, is growing in number and expanding geographically, with approximately 6 million people in more than 130 countries and territories, of which about 600,000 are experts and intellectuals.
The role, position, and prestige of the overseas Vietnamese community in their host societies continue to be strengthened and enhanced. Many Vietnamese experts and intellectuals have gathered to establish innovation networks in their host countries and are actively promoting activities in Vietnam. To date, overseas Vietnamese have 385 investment projects in Vietnam with a total registered capital of over US$1.7 billion and have contributed capital to thousands of businesses in Vietnam.

Highly appreciating and congratulating the growth of the Vietnamese community in Türkiye, the Prime Minister stated that he had requested the Turkish side to continue creating more favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to continue living and working in Turkey, integrating deeply into the local society, making positive contributions to the development of Türkiye as well as the friendly relations between the two countries, and always looking towards their homeland.
The Prime Minister affirmed that "Vietnamese people abroad are an inseparable part and a resource of the Vietnamese national community"; the Party and State always pay attention to, care for, and support them to stabilize, integrate into the local society, preserve the Vietnamese language and cultural identity, and at the same time encourage and create favorable conditions for them to actively contribute to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.

The Prime Minister expressed his wish that the Vietnamese community remain reassured and continue to trust in the leadership of the Party and the State; closely cooperate with the Vietnamese Embassy in Turkey to maintain its core role in uniting and connecting the community, building an increasingly stable and prosperous community; become a solid bridge for friendly relations between the two countries and their peoples; preserve their national identity and homeland; educate their children about their roots, and maintain the Vietnamese language.
The Prime Minister requested the Vietnamese Embassy in Türkiye to continue paying attention to and improving the work related to Vietnamese people abroad; first and foremost, to facilitate the procedures for overseas Vietnamese as conveniently as possible; to have a complete database to fully care for the material and spiritual lives of Vietnamese people; to maintain regular contact with overseas Vietnamese, actively support community activities, and to soon establish a Vietnamese Association in Turkey.

In informing the people about the domestic situation, the Prime Minister stated that, after more than 36 years of reform, our country has achieved many great and historically significant accomplishments.
In 2022, Vietnam's economy reached over US$409 billion, a tenfold increase compared to 2000, with a GDP per capita of US$4,110; ranking among the top 20 countries in the world in terms of import and export turnover (US$732.5 billion); and its national brand value experienced the fastest growth in the world, ranking 32nd among the top 100 national brands. Vietnam's role, position, and prestige are increasingly affirmed globally. Wherever Vietnamese people go on this earth, they have the right to be proud to be Vietnamese.
Recently, despite numerous difficulties and challenges, thanks to the decisive involvement of the entire political system under the leadership and guidance of the Central Committee, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; the attention and assistance of international friends; and the support and active participation of the people, the business community, and overseas Vietnamese, including the Vietnamese community in Turkey, the Vietnamese economy has continued to achieve encouraging results.

The socio-economic situation continues to show many positive signs in various fields, with results showing "each month better than the previous month, each quarter better than the previous quarter." Vietnam's macroeconomic stability is maintained, inflation is controlled, and major economic balances are ensured. Public debt, government debt, and foreign debt are under control. It is projected that in 2023, foreign direct investment into Vietnam will reach US$30 billion, the highest ever...
Regarding Vietnam-Türkiye relations, the Prime Minister stated that the cooperative relationship between the two countries is developing well in many fields. Both sides regularly exchange delegations; actively coordinate and support each other in international organizations; and provide mutual assistance in times of difficulty and hardship.
The Prime Minister stated that, during his meetings on this trip and in the past, senior Turkish leaders have consistently affirmed that they consider Vietnam a top priority partner in Southeast Asia, and have emphasized their desire to enhance the effectiveness of cooperation with Vietnam.
Türkiye is a close friend and one of Vietnam's most important partners in the Middle East region. Trade exchange in 2022 reached over US$2 billion, an increase of 26.2% compared to 2021. Both sides agreed to continue elevating Vietnam-Türkiye relations to a new level; promoting cooperation in all fields, especially those where each side has strengths and the other has needs.
"This is an important foundation for the Vietnam-Türkiye relationship to continue developing to new heights; it is also a foundation for the Vietnamese community in Türkiye to continue to thrive," the Prime Minister emphasized.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also shared, acknowledged, and partially addressed the opinions, suggestions, aspirations, and proposals of the people; stating that he would direct relevant ministries, agencies, and organizations to focus on reviewing and researching, and promptly develop appropriate solutions in a constructive, timely, and thorough manner.
