Carry out well the work of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services

Over the past 77 years, the Party and State have always considered the work of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution as one of the top important tasks. Many policies of the Party and policies of the State on preferential treatment for people with meritorious services have been issued and implemented; the beneficiaries of the policies have been increasingly expanded, and preferential regimes have been gradually supplemented and improved. Thereby, it aims to honor and partially compensate for the contributions, sacrifices and losses of people with meritorious services to the revolution.

In Ninh Binh , during the heroic resistance wars of the country, the whole province had over 235 thousand cadres and soldiers participating in the fight and serving the fight on all fronts. During the resistance wars, over 16,900 heroic and outstanding children sacrificed their lives and were recognized as martyrs; 1,275 mothers were awarded or posthumously awarded the honorary title of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers by the State; over 13,000 war invalids; over 8,000 were sick soldiers; over 8,900 resistance fighters and their children were infected with toxic chemicals and suffered from diseases for the rest of their lives...

Along with the whole country, promoting the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source" in recent years, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Ninh Binh province have issued many documents to strengthen leadership and direction in the care of war invalids, martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution in order to effectively implement the policies of the Party and State for people with meritorious services.

The province also has many preferential policies on vocational training, job creation, preferential loan support for children of war invalids and martyrs; monthly allowances, health care; support for building and repairing houses for policy families with housing difficulties...

Departments, branches, sectors, organizations, unions, agencies, units, localities and the People have had many activities to help and care for families of people with revolutionary contributions. Many agencies, units and enterprises have taken care of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, sponsored children of war invalids and martyrs' relatives in difficult circumstances.

The province has established and maintained the "Gratitude and Social Security" Fund at all levels; supported wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families with difficult circumstances to build new and repair houses; mobilized resources to renovate and upgrade the Martyrs' Cemetery, the Martyrs' Memorial House, and take care of martyrs' graves...

With many drastic and creative ways to care for the material and spiritual life of policy families and meritorious people, up to now, the lives of these subjects have become increasingly stable and gradually improved. 100% of meritorious people's households have a standard of living equal to or higher than the average standard of living of people in the same residential area.

Preferential policies and monthly allowances for policy families and meritorious people are paid and implemented correctly, sufficiently and promptly. 100% of communes, wards and towns are recognized for doing well in the war invalids and martyrs movement. Vietnamese Heroic Mothers who are still alive are taken care of by units for life. The work of collecting martyrs' graves is well implemented by all levels and sectors...

July 2024 - The month of gratitude and appreciation, the whole province has been organizing activities to celebrate the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27 (1947-2024). Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to strengthen leadership and direction for the work of war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services, considering this a key, regular and continuous task from the province to the grassroots. Further promote the movement "Repaying gratitude" with many diverse activities.

In particular, continue to call for support and companionship from agencies, units, collectives, individuals and businesses to contribute to the construction of the "Repaying gratitude and social security" Fund, striving for 100% of policy families and people with revolutionary contributions to have a standard of living higher than the average standard of living in their place of residence.

At the same time, focus on resolving the backlog, difficulties and obstacles in implementing preferential policies for people with meritorious services; continue to do a good job of searching, gathering and burying martyrs' graves; build and upgrade cemeteries and works honoring martyrs into cultural and historical works, aimingto educate the revolutionary tradition for the younger generations...

Along with that, regularly commend, honor, promote and promote the exemplary, positive role, self-reliance and self-improvement in the lives of wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families of people with meritorious services; promptly commend and reward collectives and individuals with many achievements in the "Repaying gratitude" movement. Widely launch emulation movements in labor, production, study and work in localities, units and schools, worthy of the great sacrifices and contributions of wounded soldiers, martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

The gratitude, honor and care of the entire political system and social community over the past time have encouraged, accompanied and given strength to war invalids, sick soldiers, martyrs' relatives and people with meritorious services to the revolution to overcome difficulties, continue to contribute their strength and intelligence in emulation movements in labor, production, work, combat and study, contributing to building the homeland and country to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
