Subject TonSakSith LatXaKham with evidence

At 8:30 p.m. on May 12, at a hotel in Lao Bao town (Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province), the Drug and Crime Prevention Department of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard presided over and coordinated with the authorities to arrest TonSakSith LatXaKham (born in 2002, residing in Vieng Vi Lay village, Tha Khec district, Kham Muon province, Laos) for illegally storing drugs.

Evidence seized at the scene included 40,000 WY synthetic drug pills, 3kg of crystal meth, 1 motorbike, 1 mobile phone and some related documents.

TonSakSith LatXaKham confessed to transporting the above drugs from Lao Bao to Dong Ha for a fee.

To promptly encourage, motivate and recognize the results in fighting the case, the Border Guard Command decided to give a bonus of 50 million VND to the units participating in the case.

Major General Nguyen Van Thien, Deputy Commander of the Border Guard, praised the outstanding achievements of the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard in successfully fighting Project QT1124p. At the same time, he requested the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard to continue to concentrate forces and means to resolutely fight and suppress all types of crimes in the border area; improve the effectiveness of detecting, arresting, investigating, handling and destroying large-scale, transnational criminal rings and organizations, especially drug crimes, smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, human trafficking, illegal immigration, etc.

In addition, strengthen patrols and strictly control borders and sea areas, focus on key routes, locations and areas to prevent and detect crimes right from the border areas; promote propaganda, do a good job of internal management and promptly encourage and reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements and typical examples in performing their tasks.
