Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh speaks at the conference
Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assessed that Tien Giang has many advantages in terms of geography, cultural history and abundant labor resources. Tien Giang has a very clear advantage in terms of geographical location and natural conditions in inter-regional connectivity. Besides, Tien Giang is also facing many challenges such as land subsidence, saltwater intrusion, rising sea levels, unsynchronized infrastructure and abundant labor resources (over 1 million people of working age/total population of nearly 1.8 million people) but still lacks high-quality labor...
The Prime Minister requested Tien Giang to focus on "1 key, 2 strengthening, 3 promoting". The focus is on mobilizing and using all legal resources to promote traditional growth drivers such as consumption, investment and export, and breaking through new growth drivers such as digital transformation, green transformation, circular economy, green economy, sharing economy and combating climate change.
Two enhancements: enhancing human factor development towards improving people's knowledge, training high-quality human resources, focusing on nurturing talents, ensuring social security, leaving no one behind. Strengthening regional, regional, domestic and international connectivity through the transportation system, production and supply chain.

Promoting the development of the processing industry to better serve agricultural production sectors, especially deep processing of agricultural products, creating products to serve the global supply chain. Promoting the application of science and technology, innovation in production and business, creating jobs and livelihoods for people, creating stability and development.
