The chain of links ensures common interests

Báo Đắk LắkBáo Đắk Lắk22/10/2025

Cooperation between entities is the foundation for creating a sustainable chain. When the interests of each party are harmoniously ensured, the chain will operate effectively, aiming to help Dak Lak agricultural products affirm their position in the domestic market and expand to export.

* Ms. Dang Thi Thuy, Deputy Director of Department of Agriculture and Environment:

The State invests in infrastructure, plans production areas, accompanies in brand building and trade promotion... creating a favorable environment for entities to promote their capabilities. At the same time, to connect entities, departments and branches organize discussion conferences to help farmers, businesses, cooperatives and local authorities find a unified direction for local agricultural products.

The State wishes to link to help increase interaction between subjects to bring benefits to all parties. In particular, farmers not only have agricultural products purchased but also have access to scientific and technical advances to change their awareness and production thinking. Enterprises and cooperatives not only stabilize raw material areas for processing but also improve their competitiveness in the market...

Developing agricultural production according to the value chain, in addition to economic goals, also aims for a higher value: a safe agriculture, sustainable development in the face of market fluctuations and climate change.

* Ms. Pham Thi Hang Vy, Director of Vi Long Trading Company Limited:

Agricultural products are seasonal, so the purchasing and transportation of raw materials takes place in a short time. If the transportation infrastructure, electricity and cold storage are not guaranteed, just a few hours of delay will reduce the quality, greatly affecting the value of the product.

Therefore, the State needs to encourage farmers to participate in cooperatives, support preferential loans, production insurance and credit guarantee mechanisms; prioritize investment in raw material infrastructure (transportation, electricity, irrigation water, cold storage, processing plants); build green credit funds or agricultural value chain development funds to support enterprises applying high technology; promote trade promotion, issue codes for growing areas, trace origin and connect export markets...

* Mr. Tran Van Toan, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Phu Nong - Buon Don Agricultural and Tourism Cooperative (Ea Nuol commune):

Consumption output is the most important step that determines the success of the agricultural value chain. Farmers want to sell agricultural products at good prices. Enterprises want to buy raw materials with stable quality and quantity. In reality, this buying and selling process is not always favorable; when the market fluctuates, raw materials are scarce, farmers can "break the contract", and enterprises can also arbitrarily stop purchasing.

Establishing a purchase and sale link by a consumption contract is considered a legal binding that helps the subjects increase their responsibilities as well as protect their rights. Only then will farmers feel secure in expanding production, and businesses will be willing to invest in raw material areas.

Cooperatives act as a production bridge, gathering small farmers into large production areas and representing them in signing contracts with businesses. We hope that the State and businesses will have more specific support in terms of mechanisms and prices in cases where farmers' agricultural products are not purchased or are purchased at low prices due to market impacts.
