Continue to replicate livestock farming models in association with Que Lam Company

On the afternoon of May 7, Huong Son district coordinated with Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company to organize a conference to evaluate the results of implementing the linkage of organic agricultural production and circular economy in 2025.

During 4 years of cooperation with Huong Son district, Que Lam Group Joint Stock Company has implemented a DT39 rice production model in Tan My Ha commune, producing delicious rice with a yield of 2.5 quintals/sao.

Que Lam Company also supported fertilizers and some biological pesticides for people in communes such as Ham Truong and Kim Hoa to invest in and care for organic orange growing processes and revive hundreds of orange trees with yellow leaves in 9 households in Kim Hoa, Quang Diem and Son Giang communes.

Regarding livestock farming, up to now, the district has had 10 pig farming models in association with Que Lam Company, with a total of 25 sows and 100 pigs in Ham Truong, Son Kim 1, and Son Kim 2 communes.

Vice Chairman of Huong Son District People's Committee Nguyen Kieu Hung evaluated the results of the linkage program.

The models of raising sows and pigs for meat according to the process of Que Lam Company in Huong Son district have developed and ensured environmental hygiene, high efficiency, stable purchase price, guaranteed output, and are highly appreciated by consumers. Typical examples are Mr. Tran Ngoc Son's household in Ham Truong commune (raising 9 sows, 50 pigs for meat), and Ms. Ho Thi Ha's household in Son Kim 1 commune (raising 4 sows, 40 pigs for meat).

At the conference, delegates focused on analyzing some of the achievements in implementing linkages in organic agricultural production and circular economy; and the difficulties in applying new organic processes in the area. Livestock households associated with Que Lam Company also shared their experiences and achievements in the process of implementing linkages in livestock farming.

Vice Chairman of Son Kim 1 Commune People's Committee Phan Thanh Tung: The livestock cooperation models between Son Kim 1 Commune and Que Lam Company not only bring clear economic efficiency but also have special significance in ensuring the environment in the community.

In addition to the achieved results, some opinions said that because people are familiar with the practice of production and raising livestock using industrial feed and inorganic fertilizers for crops, the initial application of organic processes is still limited. Furthermore, the district does not have the authority to issue policies to support the development of agricultural production, so the effectiveness of livestock raising in association with Que Lam Company has not yet met expectations.

Concluding the conference, Secretary of Huong Son District Party Committee Luong Quoc Tuan thanked Que Lam Company for cooperating and supporting Huong Son people in the production and breeding process following the organic circular direction to improve economic efficiency and minimize environmental pollution in recent years.

Secretary of Huong Son District Party Committee Luong Quoc Tuan expressed his hope that Que Lam Company will continue to help the district preserve and improve the economic efficiency of deer farming and pomelo production - which are strengths and specialties of the district.

The district leaders suggested that in the coming time, the company create conditions to open training courses to improve knowledge of cultivation and animal husbandry in Huong Son district so that people will not have to work hard and spend money when coming to Hue city to learn about the production and animal husbandry process in the direction of organic circulation.

The Secretary of Huong Son District Party Committee also requested that communes in the area continue to replicate livestock farming models associated with the company to increase production and livestock farming value.
