At the meeting, the two Ministers expressed their delight at the development of the Vietnam-Denmark Comprehensive Partnership in recent times, especially in the fields of economics , trade, investment, green transformation, and climate change response.
The two sides agreed to promote high-level delegation exchanges in the coming time, on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1971-2026).
Acting Minister Le Hoai Trung shared about Vietnam's development priorities in the coming time, including transforming the growth model, prioritizing science and technology development, innovation, and energy conversion.
In that spirit, the Acting Minister proposed that the two sides continue to promote cooperation in priority areas, especially green transformation and sustainable development.
The Acting Minister hopes that Denmark will continue to support and lobby EU countries as well as urge the European Commission (EC) to soon remove the IUU "yellow card" for Vietnamese seafood.
Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen congratulated Acting Minister Le Hoai Trung on his new position; affirming that Vietnam is one of Denmark's leading partners in Southeast Asia.
He expressed admiration for Vietnam's economic achievements and highly appreciated Vietnam's development policies.
Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen thanked Vietnam for facilitating the operation of the LEGO factory in Vietnam and affirmed that he would encourage Danish businesses to increase investment in Vietnam, especially in the field of green transformation.
He also appreciated the contributions of the Vietnamese community in Denmark to the socio-economic development of the host country and as a bridge to promote cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation and support each other at multilateral forums, and discuss a number of international and regional issues of mutual concern.
