On the afternoon of May 26, Lao Cai provincial authorities destroyed more than 2.5 tons of frozen goods smuggled from China to Vietnam, including sausages, Chinese sausages, and young poultry eggs.

Previously, on the evening of May 23, the Working Group of Lao Cai Border Gate Customs coordinated with Lao Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station to patrol and control imported goods at Lao Cai International Border Gate. During the patrol, the authorities discovered 2.55 tons of sausages, Chinese sausages, young poultry eggs, etc. in the flower garden area of ​​Lao Cai International Border Gate quarantine area.

These are the goods that some people have taken advantage of the border residents' goods exchange policy to transport from China to Vietnam. These goods did not go through customs procedures according to regulations, are goods that are not on the list of goods allowed to be exchanged by border residents and require animal quarantine upon import. The total value of the goods is more than 150 million VND.
