International pepper market on June 4, 2025

On the international level, world pepper prices are still struggling, waiting for clearer signals from major consumer markets. Positive factors such as global demand is expected to recover in the third quarter and some Asian markets increasing imports are balancing negative factors such as abundant global supply and high inventories at European and American ports.

In the short term, world pepper prices are unlikely to increase sharply, but in the medium term there is still a chance of recovery if consumption demand increases again.

Market Overview: Opportunities in Challenges

Overall, the domestic and global pepper markets are in a cautious transition phase. The opportunity is that domestic prices may continue to recover slightly in June and export demand may grow from the third quarter.

However, the major challenge still comes from abundant global supply and unstable economic and consumption developments in major markets. In this context, pepper growers and exporters need to closely monitor market developments and take advantage of opportunities when prices recover to optimize profits.
