MU are said to be prioritising Carlos Baleba, but Brighton are demanding an unrealistic transfer fee of £100m.

So, MU officials are considering recruiting Wharton. The 21-year-old English midfielder has a much more moderate price (Crystal Palace wants 60 million pounds; MU is expected to pay 40 million pounds).

Wharton grew up at Crystal Palace and is attracted by the MU reform. He would be the ideal successor to Casemiro in the future.

Through an intermediary, Milan began formal negotiations over a loan fee of €6 million, a buyout clause of €45 million, and wages.

Milan are focused on their ambitions of a high ranking in Serie A, even competing for the Scudetto. Therefore, coach Max Allegri really wants Hojlund to increase his attacking options.

For his part, Hojlund remained silent on Milan's offer. The Danish striker expressed his intention to continue staying at MU, even if he was not used by Ruben Amorim in the match against Fiorentina.

Previously, coach Max Allegri tried to prevent Thiaw from leaving Milan. However, after Newcastle decided to raise the transfer fee to 40 million euros, the Rossoneri agreed.

Thiaw has been outstanding in pre-season, but the German has made it clear he wants to move to Newcastle to play in the Champions League.

Once they complete the signing of Thiaw, taking their total summer transfer fee to €100m, Newcastle will focus on Ollie Watkina (Aston Villa) and Yoane Wissa (Brentford).
