According to British media reports, Manchester United are in contact with Crystal Palace to negotiate the transfer of talented young midfielder Adam Wharton – dubbed the "Declan Rice 2.0" of English football .
Manchester United are reportedly prioritizing Carlos Baleba, but Brighton are demanding an unrealistic transfer fee of £100 million.
Therefore, MU officials are considering signing Wharton. The 21-year-old English midfielder is at a much more reasonable price (Crystal Palace want £60 million; MU are expected to pay £40 million).
Wharton rose through the ranks at Crystal Palace and is now attracted by Manchester United's restructuring. He would be an ideal successor to Casemiro in the future.
